What is Baptism?
Baptism is the Christian symbol that outwardly shows an inward heart repenting of sin and believing in the gospel.
When someone is baptized they are declaring that they are trusting in Christ’s death to put away their old life and His resurrection to give them new, eternal life (Romans 6:1-10; Colossians 2:12). The church is also making a declaration when they baptize someone. The entire church is affirming the faith and new life they see in the new Christian and is declaring they now belong to the body of Christ.
Who should be Baptized?
According to the Bible one should be baptized who recognizes personal guilt of sin, repents and trusts in Christ to redeem them from sin’s punishment (Acts 2:38, 2:41, 8:12, 16:32). Baptism is a personal and public declaration of faith in Christ. If you desire to be baptized and serve Jesus, we welcome you to become part of the church body serving together with us. We welcome you to make contact with one of our pastors or any of our members as soon as possible. We’ll be delighted to help you.
