Really? But I thought Christians weren’t supposed to care about money and just think about God all the time. Isn’t that what I learned back in Sunday School?
Not according to the Bible. God’s word teaches us that everything we do we are to do it with all our heart as an act of worship to God (Colossians 3:23-24). That includes handling money, which likely, all of us do all the time. The question is do we care about HOW we handle money and DOES it pleases God?
The Bible says God owns everything. The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it (Psalm 24:1). So since our money is really His money we should handle His money in a way that pleases Him. Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
