Our hearts should rejoice that God chose for the Word to become flesh and dwell among us so we could behold His glory. On Christmas Eve the Koinos congregation will gather for worship at 6:00 pm. But on Christmas Day, we will not worship at Grant Street. Instead, the Koinos Pastors encourage everyone to set aside time for worship wherever you are on Christmas Day.
We want to assist and equip you for this. Click here to download the worship guide prepared for you by Pastor Johnathan. Set aside time on Sunday, December 25, to worship wherever you are. The guide is easy to use. Read over it ahead of time, prepare, and put your heart into it. Those who do family worship often will find themselves right at home doing this. Those who are new to family worship will find this as a great time to begin gathering regularly with your family for communion with God.
Why are we doing it this way? We strongly uphold the priority of believers meeting together for corporate worship as the unified body of Christ. At the same time we affirm that the church is not a building but Jesus’ body whose many parts are able to worship Him anywhere any time. We also affirm that worship is never restricted to one location but rather Jesus dwells with us by His Spirit wherever we are. We affirm that fathers, mothers, and all individuals should lead in worshipping with gatherings of family and friends throughout the community. We cherish these words Jesus said, “where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them” (Mt 18:20).
