Have you read the book of Joel? What did you get out of it? What is the plague of locusts supposed to teach us? Let’s follow Jesus, read His Word faithfully, and grow to honor Him with our lives. This Sunday the plan is begin a six-week sermon series through two of the minor prophets, first Joel and then Zephaniah. Here are two tools designed to help you get more out of the book of Joel.
First, a reading guide – use this to help you read the book of Joel and get more out of it. This guide was created by members of the Koinos church and is made available for you to use now, keep it to use again in the future, and share it with a friend. We recommend that you read through the book of Joel before Sunday morning so that you are familiar with the text before our sermon series begins. We also recommend that you write in the margin of your Bible key nuggets from the reading guide so you’ll have them in front of you in the future. Click here for the reading guide.
Second, a study guide – do a deeper study in the book of Joel. The awesome ladies at Dayton Women In The Word have put together this super helpful guide and the Koinos Women’s Ministry team is making it available to you for free. In it you will find a guide for daily reading and study through Joel, a video guide to Bible study tools for you to use each day, opportunities to join with other ladies for online discussion, and access to a podcast where more great teaching can be found. Click here for the study guide.
And if you’ve been part of the Koinos family for awhile consider this as an opportunity for you to reach out to a lady who is new to our church or maybe one who does not attend any church. Invite her to do this study along with you and meet up for coffee to talk it through together and learn from each other.
