At Koinos, we want to show Jesus to your kids so they grow up to know Him, be like Him, and then go out to tell others about Him. Every Sunday, all children (babies through grade 6) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.
We would love to see you and your family visit Koinos Kids this Sunday. Join the fun and experience a world where kids learn the truth about Jesus in a way they enjoy and understand!
Koinos Early Childhood (Birth – 4 yrs old)
In early childhood, we strive to create the first building blocks of a strong, gospel-centered foundation for our children. We teach from the Scriptures and help parents proclaim to their kids who God is and what He has done in the person and work of Jesus Christ. During the service, we sing, dance and teach the Bible to the kids, focusing on our six foundational truths: God made everything, God is in charge of everything, God is good, Jesus came to save sinners, God wants to talk with us, and the Church is God’s family.
KidzZone (5 yrs old – 4th grade)
In KidzZone, we work to continue building up a strong, gospel-centered foundation for our children. We do this by teaching our kids about the nature and character of God—that He is wise, generous, loving, and good. Our hope is to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children by creating environments, curriculum and resources that center on the gospel of Jesus Christ. On the weekends, in KidzZone, we worship through song, tell stories from the Bible, and gather in small groups by age to talk about Scripture together.
Tweens (5th–6th grade)
Tweens is a place for students to have fun, find friends, and explore their faith.
Leading students to develop a faith of their own in Jesus Christ is the goal of our ministry. Our hope is to partner with parents in helping students go deeper with each other, their leaders and, most importantly, God.
What to expect for a Sunday service
When you arrive we have a check-in station where the parent or guardian will enter their info and receive a sticker. You can also check in before you arrive on the Church Center app on your mobile device! The large part of the sticker goes on the child; the other part stays with the parent/guardian. There are also a couple of additional stickers that can be attached to items left with the child such as diaper bags, diapers, cups, bottles, etc. The child can then be taken to their classroom. Children under 2 will go to the nursery room and if they are in the 2-4 year range, they will go into the Preschool room labeled for 2-4. If your child cries for more than 10 minutes or is having disciplinary problems, your # on your sticker will be displayed on the screens in the Worship Center. You can then come back and get your child. You are welcome to bring them into the main service with you. To ensure safety of all our children, they can only be picked up by the person has the corresponding number sticker.
All children are welcome to come with you in the main service and enjoy worship with the congregation. After the time of singing in the worship service is over they will be dismissed to go to their classes. The 4-5 year olds will go to the check-in station and get a blue sticker to fill out for their child. This is only a two-part sticker, one being affixed to the child and the parent/guardian keeping the other half. Again if your child cries for more than 10 minutes or is having disciplinary problems, your # will be displayed on the screens in the main auditorium. You can then come back and get your child. Children can only be picked up by the person has the corresponding number sticker. This is to ensure the safety of all our children.
Children are encouraged to bring their Bible to read the Scripture themselves, but we always have some available for children who forget. Children who are in 5th or 6th grade have their own meeting spot within the Youth Room. They are separated by gender and need to bring their own Bible. Kids at this age dig deeper into God’s Word and are challenged to engage with God on their own throughout the week through His Word and prayer.
