Wow! What a great week with the Troy Christian mission team in Costa Rica!! I had the joy of accompanying 12 teen ladies on this amazing trip. That’s right – 12 teen girls. And how did they do? AMAZING!!
Parents, your students get to see the world with completely new eyes when they go bringing the gospel to those who need it most. They are pushed out of their comfort zones. They get the opportunity to lead in ways they didn’t know they could. They trust God in ways they never have before. They see the Holy Spirit move powerfully through their efforts. They see gospel in all its beauty. Some of them find that they will spend their lives reach an unreached people group.
These students worked together communicating the gospel to a large number of teens and elementary age students. A number of them have become followers of Jesus. New churches are being planted in each of the neighborhoods where they live. What a great strategy for our group to see at work making disciples.
Students, and adults, I hope you will live your life in submission to the Holy Spirit, available to go at any time God gives you the opportunity to go serve the lost.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
